Biography
I am Joyita Brahma, a dedicated and enthusiastic researcher in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences with a particular interest in Molecular Biology and Drug Discovery. I have recently completed my Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from Gopalganj Science and Technology University (GSTU) in 2025, and I am currently pursuing my Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm). During my academic journey, I have developed strong expertise in both theoretical and practical aspects of pharmaceutical research, with a focus on molecular mechanisms, computational biology, and pharmacological assessments. My undergraduate thesis, 'Anti-Emetic Effects of Succinic Acid in Chicks: Molecular Mechanisms, Docking, Pharmacokinetics, and Toxicity Assessment', reflects my ability to integrate in vivo, in silico, and pharmacokinetic approaches to address complex biological problems. In addition to my thesis, I have contributed to research on the 'Assessment of Anticonvulsant Potential of Carnosic Acid through GABAergic Modulation and Voltage-Gated Sodium Channel Inhibition: In vivo and in silico Approaches', which has been submitted for publication. I continuously strive to broaden my research portfolio by engaging in collaborative projects and attending specialized workshops and training programs, such as the Basic Research Training with Emphasis on Computer-Aided Drug Design (CADD) organized by the CADD Lab at GSTU. My research interests primarily lie in molecular docking, pharmacokinetics, toxicity prediction, computational drug design, and the development of novel therapeutics. Alongside my academic and research pursuits, I have gained hands-on experience with a wide range of biological and computational software tools, including PyRx, PyMOL, Chem3D, Discovery Studio, SwissPDB Viewer, GraphPad Prism 9, and SPSS. I am an active member and collaborator at BLRCL, where I continue to expand my research network and engage in knowledge exchange with fellow scholars. My ultimate career goal is to contribute significantly to the advancement of drug discovery and molecular pharmacology, addressing real-world challenges in healthcare through innovative and impactful research.
